Fairhill Cottage, Maidenhead.

Our brief was to create a stronger connection between the south side of the house and the garden. The homeowners wanted to create a space they could spend much of their time, as they loved cooking and sharing meals, they asked us to create a kitchen / dining space that had level access to the patio.

“Before the extension, we used to cook on the north side of the house, which was a little too dark for us. Thanks to the hard work of Kombu to build the new extension, we now enjoy most of our time in the new south-facing kitchen basking in the sunlight, or moving between the house and the garden. And both us and the bees are loving the sedum roof!”
