Kombu Design & Build was founded by Craig and Mark, delivering small scale residential projects throughout London and the South East. They began their journey as school friends, working on construction projects during school holidays, before both embarking on their studies in Architecture and Structural Engineering. After gaining valuable experience working for firms in their respective fields, they began working on their own projects. Both share a passion for crafting visually captivating spaces, that are good for occupants and for the planet.

Craig is a RIBA Chartered Architect and Construction Project Manager with 12 years experience in the Construction Industry. He has worked predominantly on residential and commercial projects, both as an architect and as a contractor, with contract values between £250k - £5m. He also enjoys getting on the tools, having worked on a wide variety of projects including house refurbs, traditional timber-framed buildings, installations and stage designs at festivals. His architecture focuses on wellbeing and usability of the spaces created. “My aim is to merge architecture design sensibilities with spatial design principles to redefine aesthetics creating harmonious, functional living spaces.”

Mark is a Structural & Civil Engineer with over 12 years experience in a wide range of residential and commercial building structures. “I'm passionate about inspiring others and transforming residential, commercial and public spaces sustainably - using as many bio-based materials as possible!”
